MoS Jitendra Singh emphasises on linking startups with MSME sector New Delhi, Aug 27 (KNN) It is important to link startups with the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, said Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh on Friday.

He said that central government is taking all required steps to include policy alterations to boost the MSMEs.

MoS for Science was addressing the 8th India International MSME and Startup Summit and Expo.

Highlighting the significance of Startup India initiative, he said that huge opportunities have been opened up for the youth through this programme.

“In the past few years a wave of agritech startups has emerged in India,” said the minister.

He credit the startups for solving problems related to supply chain management, improper infrastructure and inability of farmers to access a wider range of markets.

The three-day expo started at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on Thursday and will provide single unified platform for startups and MSMEs to interact with industry leaders and to exhibit their products. (KNN Bureau)
